The soft seated globe valve is also called a soft-sealed globe valve, which refers to a globe valve with a non-metallic sealing surface. But usually, soft seated globe valve is usually called ptfe lined globe valve, pfa lined globe valve.
PTFE Lined Globe Valves are designed for general service applications up to ANSI 150. These general-purpose service applications are primarily aimed at extremely aggressive media in chemical processes. This design increases flow, but also reduces the pressure recovery factor, making the design more susceptible to cavitation, flashing, and flow noise. The design of this floating ball valve will increase the starting torque required by the actuator. It can be assembled with pneumatic, electric, hydraulic or electro-hydraulic actuators, or supplied with a complete control valve structure.
