Product Introduction

Cast steel gate valve: all gate valves that are cast into castings with metal steel materials are collectively referred to as cast steel gate valves. Corresponding to the cast steel gate valve, there are also cast iron gate valve, forged steel gate valve and malleable iron gate valve.

Cast steel gate valve: according to the material, it is divided into carbon steel gate valve, stainless steel gate valve, low alloy steel gate valve (high temperature resistant chrome molybdenum steel belongs to this category), low temperature steel gate valve, etc.

Various specific steel grades are commonly used under various cast steel gate valves as follows:

1. The grades of carbon steel gate valve castings are: WCA, WCB, WCC, LCB, etc.; the applicable temperature is -46 degrees to 425 degrees.

2. Stainless steel gate valve casting grades: 301 stainless steel, CF8 stainless steel (corresponding to 304 stainless steel forgings), CF8M stainless steel (corresponding to 316 stainless steel forgings), etc.; the applicable temperature is -198 degrees to 816 degrees.

3. Low-alloy steel is divided into high-temperature alloy steel and high-strength low-alloy steel, among which high-temperature alloy steel is often referred to as chrome-molybdenum steel.

Casting grades of chrome molybdenum steel gate valve:

ZG1Cr5Mo, ZG15Cr1MoV, ZG20CrMoV, WC6, WC9, C12A, etc. The applicable temperature is 550 degrees to 750 degrees.

The temperature applicable to each specific grade of material is different, depending on the actual working conditions.

Misunderstanding Description

When it comes to valve procurement, cast steel gate valves usually refer to carbon steel gate valves of WCB grades, because in the earliest days, steel castings were not as abundant as they are now. When it comes to cast steel gate valves, only WCB is the best material to choose. After a long time, the default Cast steel gate valve is WCB carbon steel gate valve, WCB carbon steel gate valve is also one of the oldest and most widely used valve structures.

Advantages and disadvantages of cast steel gate valve:

1. The advantages of cast steel gate valve: the fluid resistance is small, and the sealing surface is less brushed and eroded by the medium. Opening and closing is more labor-saving. The flow direction of the medium is not restricted, the flow is not disturbed, and the pressure is not reduced. The structure is simple, the length of the structure is short, the manufacturing process is good, there are many optional materials for high temperature and high pressure resistance, and the scope of application is wide.

2. Disadvantages of cast steel gate valve: It is easy to cause erosion and scratches between the sealing surfaces, and it is difficult to maintain. The external size is large, a certain space is required to open, and the opening and closing time is long.
