The Valves supplied by XURI are mainly used for adjusting water, steam, oil, gas, and natural gas in chemical industries, acid, alkali, and salt working pipelines. Sizes from 50mm-2000mm can meet full requirements from customers.

The gate valve mainly plays the role of connecting and cutting off the medium. It is not suitable for regulating the flow of medium and is a widely used valve in pipelines. However, the flow rate is judged according to the height of the valve stem. Compared with other valves, gate valves have wider requirements for pressure, temperature, and diameter.

Gate(sluice) valve have the following advantages:

① The fluid resistance is small.

② The external force required for opening and closing is small.

③ The flow direction of the medium is not restricted.

④ When fully opened, the erosion of the sealing surface by the working medium is smaller than that of the globe valve.

⑤ The shape is relatively simple, and the casting process is better.

The gate(sluice) valve also has shortcomings:

① The overall size and opening height are large. Installation requires more space.

② During the opening and closing process, there is relative friction between the sealing surfaces, which is easy to cause scratches.

③ Gate valves generally have two sealing surfaces, which adds some difficulties to processing, grinding and maintenance.

A gate valve consists of three main components: body, bonnet, and trim. The body is usually connected to the pipe by flanged, threaded or welded connections. Bonnets containing moving parts are usually bolted to the valve body for cleaning and maintenance. The valve trim consists of the stem, gate, wedge or disc and seat ring.

The two basic types of gate valves are the manufacture wedge type and the double disc type, with several variations of each type.

There are three types of wedge gate valves: solid wedge gate valve, split wedge gate valve and flexible wedge gate valve.
