Stainless steel wafer check valve is also called ss wafer check valve, ss wafer type check valve, wafer style check valve. This type of valve is automatically opened and closed by the force generated by the flow of the medium itself in the pipeline, and belongs to an automatic valve. The check valve is used in the pipeline system, and its main function is to prevent the backflow of the medium, the reverse rotation of the pump and its driving motor, and the discharge of the medium in the container. Check valves can also be used on lines supplying auxiliary systems where the pressure may rise above the main system pressure.
All check valves with wafer-style connections can be called wafer style check valves.
The most common material for wafer check valves is stainless steel, such as 316 stainless steel check valve or 304 stainless steel check valve.
The stainless steel wafer check valve can be divided into swing check valve (rotating according to the center of gravity) and lift check valve (moving along the axis) according to the opening method.
Function
The function of this type of valve is to allow the medium to flow in only one direction, and to prevent flow in one direction. Usually this kind of valve works automatically. Under the action of fluid pressure flowing in one direction, the valve flap opens; when the fluid flows in the opposite direction, the fluid pressure and the self-coincident valve flap of the valve flap act on the valve seat, thereby cutting off the flow.
