The spring of the spring loaded lift check valve is placed on the valve disc. When the thrust on the valve disc generated by the inlet fluid pressure is greater than the spring load, the spring is compressed and the valve disc is opened. The greater the fluid pressure, the greater the valve opening. Conversely, when the fluid pressure drops, the spring expands, pushing the disc to close the valve. Due to the action of the spring, it is beneficial to reduce the water hammer pressure generated when the valves are opened and closed, and the fluid flow channel is smooth and the resistance is small.

Spring-Loaded Lift Check Valves are designed with spring-loaded pistons and can be installed in a variety of piping configurations in liquid high and low temperature applications and used with a variety of high and low temperature media. This valve utilizes the same one-piece conical seat design to provide the highest possible flow rate and hermetic seal, as well as ease of assembly and maintenance.
The installation orientation of the spring-loaded lift check valve must be appropriate to ensure that the gravity of the closing member acts in the direction of the valve closing. Since the closing force of the spring-loaded small lift check valve mainly comes from the spring, this kind of valve does not need to consider the installation orientation too much. For the above reasons, it can only be installed in the orientation of horizontal flow.

In most lift check valves, the disc has a guide structure to ensure that the disc is coaxial with the valve seat and maintains a seal. However, if impurities enter the guide mechanism of the valve disc, the valve disc may be stuck or closed slowly. Therefore, this type of valve disc is only suitable for low-viscosity media, and there are no solid particles in this medium.
