High Pressure Trunnion Ball Valve

Product Introduction

Trunnion ball valve is a quarter-turn rotational valve featuring a ball with a trunnion (fixed shaft) support at the top and bottom of the ball. Unlike floating ball valves where the ball is pressed against the seat by line pressure, the trunnion design mechanically supports the ball, allowing the valve to handle higher pressures and larger sizes with lower operating torque.

XURI trunnion ball valves are manufactured per API 6D and API 6A standards, suitable for oil & gas pipeline transmission, natural gas storage, refinery, and wellhead applications. The trunnion-mounted design provides stable operation at pressures up to Class 2500 and temperatures from -196°C to 450°C.

Key design features include double block and bleed (DBB) capability, emergency sealant injection fittings, anti-static devices, and fire-safe construction per API 607. The valve body is available in bolted or welded construction, with full bore or reduced bore configurations to match pipeline requirements.

Seat designs include single piston effect (SPE) and double piston effect (DPE) configurations for different sealing requirements. The trunnion ball valve can be equipped with manual gear operators, pneumatic actuators, or electric actuators for remote control applications.
