Product Introduction

Slab gate valve is a type of through-conduit gate valve designed for on-off isolation service in pipeline applications. The valve features a flat gate (slab) that moves perpendicular to the flow path, providing a full bore opening that allows pipeline pigging and minimal flow restriction when fully open.

XURI slab gate valves are engineered per API 6D and API 6A standards, suitable for oil & gas transmission, natural gas storage, refinery piping, and wellhead flowline applications. Available in sizes from 2 inches to 48 inches with pressure classes from 150 to 2500LB, our slab gate valves deliver reliable bubble-tight shut-off in the most demanding conditions.

The through-conduit design ensures that when fully open, the bore of the valve matches the pipe inside diameter, enabling smooth pipeline pigging and minimal turbulence. The floating seat design provides pressure-energized sealing: as line pressure increases, the upstream seat is pressed more firmly against the gate, enhancing the seal.

For critical services, XURI slab gate valves can be equipped with emergency sealant injection fittings, double block and bleed capability, and fire-safe construction. Materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, low temperature carbon steel, and duplex stainless steel, with NACE MR0175 compliance for sour service.
