Heater Drain Control Valve
Product Introduction
Heater drain control valve is a specialized control valve designed for the severe service conditions of power plant feedwater heater drain systems. These valves must handle high pressure differentials, two-phase flow (flashing), and intermittent operation that cause rapid wear in standard control valves.
XURI heater drain valves feature multi-stage anti-cavitation trim that distributes the total pressure drop across multiple stages, preventing cavitation damage and extending valve service life. The trim geometry is specifically optimized for the high-pressure-letdown conditions found in high and low pressure feedwater heater drain applications.
Available in globe or angle body patterns, the valves are rated for Class 600 to 2500 service with carbon steel, alloy steel, or stainless steel bodies. Hardened trim materials including Stellite seat and plug faces provide erosion resistance in flashing and two-phase flow conditions.
The compact trim design minimizes actuator thrust requirements, reducing actuator size and cost. Each valve is custom-engineered for the specific application conditions including flow rate, inlet pressure, outlet pressure, and fluid temperature.
