Recently, some customers reported that the seal of the stainless steel ball valve failed. After our maintenance personnel came to check, we found that it was caused by the damage of the bearing of the stainless steel ball valve, but not all the failures were caused by this reason. The stainless steel ball valve manufacturer summarized the stainless steel ball valve The cause of the seal failure is as follows.
1. Natural failure
Since the seal of the stainless steel ball valve is always in the medium, the seal of the stainless steel ball valve will fail after the sealing element reaches the service life.
2. Large fluctuations in pump inlet pressure may cause seal damage
When the pump inlet pressure of the stainless steel ball valve is too low, the pressure in the pump chamber suddenly decreases, and the liquid in the sealing chamber flows back into the pump chamber, resulting in dry friction of the sealing surface. Seal failure: when the inlet pressure of the pump is too high, as the pressure of the seal chamber rises and exceeds the capacity of the seal, the seal of the stainless steel ball valve will fail.
