The connection design form of forged steel gate valve
Forged steel gate valve refers to a valve in which the closing member (gate) moves vertically along the center line of the passage. Forged steel gate valves are mainly used for cutting off in pipelines. Forged steel gate valve is a kind of valve that is widely used. Generally, it is used for cutting devices with a diameter of DN ≥ 500mm, and sometimes gate valves are also used for cutting devices with small diameters. As a lower-level valve, gate valve is more common.
Forged steel gate valves can be applied to various media such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxidizing medium, urea, etc. It has three body-cover connection designs. Let’s take a look at the forms and advantages of each connection design. how is it
1. If it is a forged steel gate valve connected by bolts on the body cover, the advantage is that it is easy to maintain. Its design is that the valve body and the valve cover are connected by bolts and sealed by wound gaskets;
2. The forged steel gate valve is welded and connected according to the body cover, its valve body and valve cover are fully welded and sealed, and the advantage is that there is no external leakage;
3. If the valve body and the bonnet of the forged steel gate valve are connected with screws, and the internal pressure self-sealing ring is sealed, this is called a pressure self-tightening bonnet forged steel gate valve. The advantage is that the greater the internal pressure, the better the sealing performance.
Forged steel gate valves can be widely used in water, sewage, construction, petroleum, chemical, food, medicine, textile, electric power, shipbuilding, metallurgy, energy systems and other body pipelines as shut-off devices.
