Product Introduction
Special trim globe valve is a globe-style control valve engineered with advanced trim technology for severe service applications involving high pressure differentials, cavitation, erosion, and noise generation. These valves incorporate specialized internal trim designs that modify the flow path to control pressure drop, reduce velocity, and eliminate cavitation.
XURI special trim globe valves are available with multiple trim configurations to meet different service requirements. Labyrinth trim uses a stack of disks with precisely machined flow channels to create a tortuous path that dissipates pressure energy in controlled stages. Channel trim uses multiple small flow passages to achieve the same effect. Multi-stage cage trim uses a series of pressure-reducing stages within a single cage assembly.
These trim technologies allow the valve to handle pressure differentials up to 400 bar without cavitation damage, reduce aerodynamic noise by up to 20 dBA, and provide tight shut-off with Class V or Class VI seat leakage. Common applications include high pressure drain systems, boiler feedwater recirculation, chemical letdown, and refinery high-pressure services.
Available in sizes from 1 to 16 inches with pressure classes from 600 to 2500LB. Body materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel with Stellite, tungsten carbide, or ceramic trim surfaces.
