What is High Pressure Bypass Valve？
High Pressure Bypass Valve, also known as HP bypass valve, is a steam regulating valve.High pressure bypass valves are widely used in steam power systems to reduce pressure by throttling and saturating steam by periodic water injection, thereby reducing critical steam parameters. The valve body of this high pressure bypass valve consists of two ball cavities with the largest outer diameter.Its main field of application is high pressure bypass systems for fossil fuel power plants in subcritical and supercritical steam conditions. With the range of valve body materials available, the High Pressure Bypass Valve can be used for the main steam pressures and temperatures of today’s most advanced thermal power plants. This valve is designed for cyclic operation of bypass systems. Equipped with hydraulic actuators and necessary safety controls, the valve can be used as a combined safety valve for high pressure bypass and superheater.
