Description

Welding is a way of connecting valves. All globe valves that connect valves and pipes by welding can be called welded globe valves. Welding globe valves are divided into two types: socket welding globe valves and butt welding globe valves.

1. Fillet welds are formed by socket welding, and butt welds are formed by butt welding. The strength and stress condition of the butt welded seam are better than those of the socket, so the butt welding should be used in the occasions with high pressure level and poor service conditions.n2. Butt welding is done with radiographic inspection, and socket welding is done with magnetic particle or penetration testing (such as carbon steel for magnetic powder, stainless steel for penetration).n6.
